Can I ship TikTok Shop samples from my Amazon FBA inventory?

By Loomo ·

Short answer: yes. If your inventory already sits in Amazon FBA, you can ship TikTok Shop creator samples straight from it using Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF). You don’t need a second stock pool, a 3PL, or a spare room full of boxes.

TikTok made this official on February 25, 2026, when it updated its seller guidance to confirm that Amazon MCF is supported when it’s set up correctly. Amazon publishes its own guide to using MCF for TikTok Shop too.

“Supported” doesn’t mean “automatic,” though. There’s a short list of setup details that decide whether this runs smoothly or quietly gets your fulfillment setup switched off. This post walks through them.

How a sample actually moves from FBA to a creator

A free sample on TikTok Shop behaves a lot like a normal order. A creator requests it, you approve it, and it moves into Ready to Ship under Sample Requests. From there you arrange shipment in Seller Center. With MCF, that means:

  1. 01

    Approve

Review the creator's sample request in Seller Center and approve it.

  2. 02

Create the MCF order Only Loomo

In Amazon Seller Central, create a Multi-Channel Fulfillment order for that SKU, addressed to the creator.

  3. 03

    Get tracking

Wait for Amazon to ship and issue a tracking number.

  4. 04

Confirm shipment on TikTok Only Loomo

Enter the tracking number on the sample order, declaring the Amazon MCF shipping provider, not the carrier.

  5. 05

    Wait for the post

The creator's posting clock starts when the sample is delivered.

Steps 2 and 4 are where it goes wrong, and neither one is hard. They’re just easy to get slightly wrong when you’re doing them forty times a week.

The three clocks you’re racing

TikTok’s sample management guide sets three deadlines, and every sample runs against all of them:

  • 7 days to review. If you don’t approve or reject a request within seven days, TikTok cancels it automatically.
  • 7 days to ship. Once you approve, you have another seven days to ship. Miss that and the sample falls out of the active queue.
  • 14 days to post. A creator who gets a free sample is expected to post within 14 days of delivery.

That last clock is the one that matters for GMV, and it only starts on delivery. Every day a sample sits waiting for someone to create the MCF order is a day of creator enthusiasm spent before the clock even starts. MCF’s standard delivery is fast. What slows most sampling programs down is the gap between approving a sample and creating the order.

Mistake 1: declaring the carrier instead of MCF

This is the expensive one.

When you confirm shipment on TikTok, you pick a shipping provider. The natural thing is to pick the carrier on the label, like USPS or UPS. Don’t. TikTok decides whether a shipment came from MCF by the provider you declare, not by who actually delivered it. The provider you want is listed as Amazon shipping + Amazon MCF. (The full setup, including returns and fees, is in How do I use Amazon MCF to fulfill TikTok Shop orders?)

If you declare the carrier, TikTok reads it as a non-MCF tracking number. Its guidance allows a handful of these (up to five) to absorb occasional setup mistakes. Beyond that, your MCF warehouse can be deactivated and the inventory tied to it locked. You won’t get a warning partway through. Everything looks fine until the fifth one.

Mistake 2: sending the sample in an Amazon-branded box

MCF ships in Amazon packaging by default. A creator unboxing your product on camera from an Amazon smile box doesn’t send the brand signal you’re paying for, and it invites the “why not just buy it on Amazon” comment.

Amazon offers unbranded packaging for MCF orders across almost all US fulfillment centers, and it costs nothing extra. Turn it on before your first sample ships, not after a creator has already filmed the Amazon tape.

Mistake 3: setting up an MCF warehouse you didn’t need

TikTok’s MCF guide lets a shop designate up to three MCF warehouses under Seller Center > Logistics > Warehouses. That setup is for sellers without Seller Shipping access. If you already have Seller Shipping, you can keep fulfilling through it without creating a separate MCF warehouse.

Check which one applies to you before you click through. Designating a warehouse is not something you can casually undo.

What a sample really costs you

With MCF, the cost of one creator sample is:

  • The product itself, at your landed cost.
  • The MCF fulfillment fee for that unit. Check Amazon’s current rate card, and note that peak holiday fulfillment fees apply from October 15, 2026 through January 14, 2027.
  • Commission, but only on sales the creator actually drives.

What’s missing from that list is packing labor, a second inventory position, and a 3PL minimum. That’s the whole case for MCF. What’s still left is your team’s time: every sample is a request to review, an MCF order to create, a tracking number to copy back with the right provider, and a creator to follow up with. At roughly fifteen minutes a sample done by hand, a hundred samples a month is a part-time job.

Doing it by hand vs. letting it run

Doing this by hand works fine at five samples a month. It starts to break around fifty, and the breakage looks the same every time: approvals sit in an inbox, MCF orders get created days late, and creators who said yes quietly move on to the brand that shipped first.

Loomo automates the loop. Choose Amazon FBA as your fulfillment source, map your TikTok products to their Amazon SKUs, and from then on an approved sample becomes an MCF order and the tracking goes back to TikTok, so the posting clock starts as early as it can. A low-stock floor keeps samples from taking your last units, and Loomo tracks which creators actually posted and what GMV each sample drove.

(If TikTok already fulfills your orders through FBT, Loomo supports that too. TikTok ships the samples from its own stock and Loomo tracks them.)

Loomo's Fulfillment source setting with two options: Amazon FBA, selected, and TikTok (FBT).
In Loomo, you choose once where your samples ship from. Amazon FBA ships them through MCF; TikTok (FBT) lets TikTok ship them from its own stock.
